Lead Accountant - SEC Reporting

KeyBank is a financial institution seeking a Lead Accountant to assist the SEC Reporting Team in preparing required periodic SEC filings. The role involves strong analytical skills, independent work, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting processes and support SEC accounting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of certain schedules and disclosures used in SEC reporting (10-Q and 10-K)
• Prepare quarterly earnings releases in collaboration with the Investor Relations department
• Prepares thorough documentation to support SEC accounting schedules and workpapers
• Analyzes peer disclosures and identifies reporting trends and areas of improvement
• Suggests enhancements in department processes and procedures to increase efficiency and/or improve customer service
• Assists with various aspects of the yearly audit
• Assists with the implementation of various accounting standards and any impacts to financial statements and disclosures
• Develops a good understanding of Key’s organization and products
• Continues to develop knowledge base on existing and emerging issues in both accounting and banking
• Other duties as assigned by management
