Business Development Representative

Xero is a company focused on creating efficient solutions for small businesses and contributing to a stronger economy. The Business Development Representative will generate demand for the platform, qualify leads, and collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing a strategic plan to generate demand using marketing, events, and targeted prospecting lists
  • Making outbound calls to prospective accountants, bookkeepers, and subsidiaries to generate qualified opportunities
  • Using a variety of channels including phone, email, and social media to reach prospects and identify key decision-makers
  • Maintaining accurate records of all prospecting activities and tracking progress within the CRM

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to form trusting relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategically minded, capable of anticipating stakeholder needs and problem-solving for solutions
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software
  • Experience in generating business leads through multiple channels
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
