Family Law Associate Attorney
Smith & Bledsoe Family Law is a growing family law practice based in Austin, Texas, seeking an Associate Attorney. The role involves handling family law cases, including litigation support, drafting legal documents, and client interactions, while providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Licensed to practice law in Texas with one-year minimum of family law practice
- At least some experience with routine casework and litigation including contested court hearings/trials, mediations, meeting and signing new clients, drafting and filing pleadings, discovery, orders, decrees, deeds, court appearances, and client services
- Ability and desire to run your own docket, or at the minimum a desire to after training and shadowing lead attorneys
- The position will also include litigation prep and support for senior attorneys
Skills
- Licensed to practice law in Texas

- Strong preference will be given to candidates who already practice in Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bell, and/or Bastrop Counties
- Experience with Clio, Westlaw Form Builder, Texas Family Law Practice Manual, Word, and Excel
