Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for accurately processing insurance claims and authorization requests, ensuring timely and efficient turnaround times for our clients. This is a remote opportunity, and you will have the flexibility to work from home with a 34-hour workweek.
Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you will be responsible for:
- Accurately entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers
- Entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests expediently and efficiently to meet client turnaround times
- Navigating efficiently and effectively through the imaging software to retrieve claims and authorizations for data entry
- Differentiating between different claim types and following the appropriate data entry guidelines
- Accurately identifying specific document types that require special handling
- Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure that work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times
- Supporting additional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements
- Performing quality review of other team members' claims/authorizations according to established data entry guidelines
- Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing additional responsibilities as needed
- Alerting management of potential issues upon identification of discrepancies
- Providing recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies as appropriate
Requirements
To be a successful Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months or more years of experience in data entry or typing-focused role
- Strong data entry/typing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- High degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a healthcare-related field
- Familiarity with imaging software and data entry systems
