Customer Service Representative (Insurance)

Avalon Risk Management is a specialty insurance broker focusing on risk management and insurance products for the international trade and logistics industry. The Customer Service Representative role involves supporting Account Managers, servicing a book of business, and assisting clients with policy-related inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Attaining and maintaining an IL Property and Casualty license
  • Supporting Account Managers in servicing a book of business and working with clients to answer policy questions, update account changes, assist with premium collections, fielding phone calls, and more
  • Working within our Agency Management System, EPIC and INDIO to create marketing submissions, proposals, Binders, and Certificate of Insurance to name a few

Skills

  • Some professional customer support experience and/or formal business education
  • Capability of attaining an IL Property & Casualty license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Close attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Insurance experience
