[Remote] Director of Lending

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Loan Factory is seeking an Executive Lending Director to grow and manage their Lending Division while developing the necessary platform, processes, and systems for Agency direct lending. The role requires expertise in lending operations, capital markets, and underwriting, with a focus on improving systems to support strategic growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the current Lending Division, including policies, procedures, and staffing
• Develop the company’s agency-approved lending capabilities, including compliance and operational readiness for direct sales to GSEs and government agencies
• Manage lender relationships and negotiate contracts
• Oversee loan delivery and quality control for correspondent loans across all operational areas: closing, funding, post-closing, and underwriting support
• Collaborate with underwriting, operations, capital markets, and compliance teams to ensure smooth correspondent and direct loan processing and adherence to investor guidelines
• Design, implement, and continuously improve systems and workflows to support operations and scale growth efficiently
• Manage and negotiate warehouse lines of credit to support lending funding needs
• Hold profit and loss (P&L) accountability for the correspondent lending division
• Monitor lending market trends, investor requirements, and regulatory compliance
• Provide regular reporting on lending performance, financial metrics, and operational metrics to senior leadership
• Implement best practices to grow loan volume while maintaining high-quality standards

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• 1+ years of experience in direct lending with proven expertise in closing, funding, and post-closing
• Strong technical skills with experience building or managing lending operations systems and process improvements
• Proven experience managing and negotiating warehouse lines of credit
• In-depth knowledge of correspondent loan products, investor guidelines, and secondary market processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Experience or a strong understanding of underwriting and capital/secondary markets
