The California Department of Developmental Services is seeking a tech-savvy professional with a strong Human Resources background to serve as the Human Resources Branch SharePoint Administrator. This role involves managing and enhancing the internal HR SharePoint site to ensure employees have accurate HR information and to improve organizational support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance our internal HR SharePoint site (HRB OASIS)
  • Ensure employees have accurate, up-to-date HR information
  • Continuously improve how our intranet supports the organization’s goals

Skills

  • Experience administering SharePoint sites, including site management tasks such as content updates, permissions, navigation design, troubleshooting, and user support
  • Experience working in Human Resources or supporting HR programs, including managing types of HR content such as policies, procedures, employee resources, and training materials
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of California's civil service and resources
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations of salary rules, merit process, and civil service mandatory training requirements
  • Ability to perform research in various HRB areas and interpret and apply laws, rules, standards, and procedures
  • Ability to coordinate activities, provide technical assistance, and use effective research skills
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment, work well under pressure, and perform multiple tasks with accuracy and precision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and tact
  • Ability to plan, organize, conduct, and evaluate situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Interpersonal skills to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to multi-task, track projects and monitor deadlines, and take appropriate action to ensure appropriate timeframes are met
  • Ability to interact positively with staff at all levels and demonstrate a willingness to take extra steps to promote quality service
