Key Responsibilities

As a Distribution Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner, responding to inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, and other related matters.
  • Processing and inputting customer orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Producing stock reports to check for product availability and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Coordinating special and last-minute shipping requests with the Traffic and Operations Departments, expediting orders as necessary.
  • Providing follow-up with other departments to ensure service standards are being met.
  • Assuring proper invoicing of accounts by verifying computer-generated invoices.
  • Preparing shipping and tracing information to customers as required.
  • Maintaining damage records and back-order logs.
  • Communicating customer feedback to management, including any signs of dissatisfaction.
  • Acting as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer in the administration of accounts and between the office and customers regarding invoicing and credit changes.
  • Overseeing all paperwork associated with orders and maintaining corresponding files.
  • Maintaining current and accurate procedure manuals, which detail the processing requirements for each account.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer knowledge, including MS Office applications.
  • Basic typing skills and familiarity with 10-key.
  • Experience with shipping software systems, including UPS and Federal Express.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in varying facility conditions.
  • Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and potentially holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a customer service or distribution role.

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • A base hourly rate of $18.00 per hour.
  • The opportunity to earn an additional $1.00 per hour based on shift work.
  • A robust benefit program, including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, 401(k) plan, wellness program, life insurance, paid time off, and paid parental leave.
