[Remote] Fractional CFO (Strategic Finance Specialist)

QuantFi is a company focused on providing strategic financial expertise, and they are seeking a Fractional CFO (Strategic Finance Specialist) to lead client engagements. The role involves managing financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making while fostering strong client relationships and overseeing teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead long-range planning, financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario strategy
- Own client engagements from top to bottom, including managing retainer hours, proactively communicating scope, and escalating issues when needed
- Maintain and drive a clear client roadmap (30/60/90 days) to ensure all strategic needs are met within the fractional engagement model
- Deliver industry-specific executive-level insights that shape pricing, investments, product strategy, capital needs, and operational decision-making
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting for clients that empower smarter decisions
- Support capital strategy, fundraising preparation, investor materials, and financial narratives
- Serve as the primary relationship manager: prioritize initiatives, manage expectations, and ensure timely, transparent communication with all stakeholders
- Oversee and leverage QuantFi’s overseas modeling resources, providing direction, reviewing work, and ensuring deliverables meet client expectations
- Collaborate closely with Controller and bookkeeping teams to ensure operational finance supports broader strategic goals
- Provide clear, structured guidance on tasks, priorities, and deadlines; step in directly when necessary to keep the engagement on track
- Foster trust with clients through strong communication, accountability, and consistent delivery Skills

- A leader with experience managing finance teams, models, controllers, or offshore resources
- A relationship-driven professional who builds strong client partnerships and always stays ahead of needs
- Prior experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior strategic finance lead required
- Expertise in a particular industry (SaaS, CPG, etc.)
- Past experience managing direct reports
