ANALYST II
The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is a leader in emergency management and homeland security. The Analyst II role involves performing complex analytical, technical, and evaluative work to support victim services housing grant programs, including managing grant subawards and ensuring compliance through monitoring and assessments.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex analytical, technical, and evaluative work in support of state and federally-funded victim services housing grant programs
- Manages a portfolio of grant subawards
- Analyzes programmatic and fiscal documentation for compliance
- Conducts monitoring and assessments of subrecipients
- Provides technical assistance
- Develops analytical reports and recommendations
Skills
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Ability to perform complex analytical, technical, and evaluative work
- Experience managing a portfolio of grant subawards
- Ability to analyze programmatic and fiscal documentation for compliance
- Experience conducting monitoring and assessments of subrecipients
- Ability to provide technical assistance
- Experience developing analytical reports and recommendations
- Ability to exercise independent judgment within established laws, regulations, grant conditions, and program guidelines
- Completion of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678
- Current employment history listed on the STD Form 678
- Provide 'From' and 'To' dates with the month, day and year, the 'Hours Per Week' that you worked and the Total Worked (Years/Months)
- Completion of the 'DUTIES PERFORMED' section on the State Application
- Submission of a copy of transcripts if using education to qualify
- Submission of verification of United States course/degree equivalency for foreign education
- Ability to comply with application package requirements
- Ability to work irregular hours, work locations other than the official duty location, and duties other than those specified in your official position description
- Ability to travel extensively in support of emergency operations with little advance notice
