IBM Corporation is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Software Developer to lead the design and development of new features for Db2z. The role involves collaborating with support and Quality Assurance teams, documenting processes, and executing test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, design, and develop new features for Db2z, including documenting, testing, debugging, code fixing, and delivery
  • Provide support for problem diagnostics on customer-reported problems by collaborating with the support team to communicate with clients, identify the root cause, and deliver high-quality final resolutions for the reported problems
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to perform fault analysis and fix internally found defects
  • Drive Db2 z/OS new function tests with various scenarios by participating in scrum meetings to discuss new feature design, development, and test coverages
  • Document test plan, construct test cases, execute query workloads, and verify defect fixes

Skills

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree)
  • One (1) year of experience as a Backend Developer or related
  • One (1) year of experience must include utilizing PLX, JCL, SQL, Mainframe, Db2 structures, Git
