Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Patient Care Advocate to join our remote call center team. As a Patient Care Advocate, you will be responsible for handling customer service inquiries related to pharmacy benefits, researching and resolving problems in a timely manner, and assisting members in understanding and maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients, responding to questions and concerns related to pharmacy benefits
  • Research and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all issues are documented and escalated as necessary
  • Assist members in understanding and maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program, providing clear and concise information and support
  • Utilize computerized systems to gather information, respond to questions, and document issues and resolutions
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries, ensuring that the customer service process is continuously improved and potential legal concerns are reduced
  • Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner, ensuring that corrective action is pursued and expedited to meet their needs
  • Collaborate with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues, responding to members within performance agreement guidelines
  • Adhere to quality and production standards, complying with all applicable arenaflex, state, and federal safety regulations

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in a call center environment, preferably in a customer-facing role
  • 1 year of experience in customer service, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and clients
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues
  • Proficiency in using computerized systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a healthcare or pharmacy-related environment
  • Knowledge of pharmacy benefits and distribution programs
