Job Summary

As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business and information science needs. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize projects, develop technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and architectures to support business and information science needs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize projects, develop technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems
• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
• Work with the data science team to integrate data and models into automated processes
• Develop and maintain data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
• Ensure data quality and accessibility standards are met by incorporating data from various sources
• Investigate current data technology conditions to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
• Explore and recommend new tools and technologies to optimize solutions given the requirements directed by the model/use case

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and architectures
• 5+ years of experience with SQL and Python programming languages
• Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark

• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry and its data challenges
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)

Skills and Competencies

* Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices

• Experience with data warehousing, data governance, and data quality
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and other relevant languages
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
