Job Summary

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our company databases and computer systems. You'll work closely with our data team and Data Manager to ensure that all data is up-to-date, complete, and secure. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying and logging receipt of data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Transcribing source data into the required electronic format using various software applications
  • Transferring information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Performing high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
  • Verifying the integrity of data by comparing it to source documents
  • Reviewing data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintaining a filing system and protecting confidential customer information
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Responding to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system
  • Using basic office equipment, such as photocopy machines and facsimile machines
  • Maintaining a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards
  • Completing additional assigned tasks as required
  • Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry

Requirements

To be successful as a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs, such as Excel and Access
  • Familiarity with administrative duties, including filing and record-keeping
  • Experience using office equipment, such as fax machines and scanners
  • Typing speed and accuracy, with a minimum of 40 words per minute
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
  • Confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

  • Experience working with cloud-based data storage systems, such as Google Drive or Dropbox
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and software, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of data quality and data governance best practices
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
  • Certification in data entry or a related field, such as Microsoft Office Specialist or Certified Administrative Assistant
