Position Overview As a Vascular Access Nurse (PICC RN – PRN), you will provide expert vascular access care with a focus on Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC lines). You will collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes through safe, efficient, and high‑quality vascular access services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vascular Access & PICC Line Procedures

✅ Perform ultrasound‑guided insertion, maintenance, and removal of PICC lines, midline catheters, and peripheral IVs.

  • Infusion Therapy & Patient Monitoring

✅ Administer and manage intravenous (IV) therapies, medications, and fluids as prescribed. ✅ Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications during infusions.

  • Patient & Family Education

✅ Educate patients on proper PICC line care, maintenance, and infection prevention. ✅ Provide comprehensive self‑care instructions to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Collaboration & Communication

✅ Work closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop individualised patient‑care plans. ✅ Maintain clear, professional communication with the healthcare team.

  • Documentation & Compliance

✅ Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards. ✅ Follow organisational protocols and best practices for vascular access procedures.

  • Quality Improvement

✅ Participate in quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimise vascular access techniques.Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licence in the U.S.
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience with expertise in vascular access, infusion therapy, or critical care.
  • Proficient in ultrasound‑guided PICC line insertion.
  • Certification in Vascular Access (VA‑BC) highly desirable.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s licence & reliable transportation required – a mobile role requiring travel between locations.
