JOB DESCRIPTION Apex Systems is looking for a Salesforce Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high quality Salesforce solutions that align with business goals. This role partners closely with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and administrators to translate complex business requirements into robust technical architectures across the Salesforce ecosystem. Employees who are not actively deployed on a client project and reside within a one-hour commute of an Apex branch office are expected to work onsite at least once per week. RESPONSIBLITIES
- Solution Design & Architecture
- Develop end to end Salesforce solution architectures across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and/or industry clouds.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical designs.
- Create architectural diagrams, data models, integration patterns, and system roadmaps.
- Ensure solutions follow Salesforce best practices, platform limits, and governance standards. Technical Leadership
- Guide development teams on configuration, customization, and integration approaches.
- Review technical designs, code, and solution components to ensure quality and alignment with architecture.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Salesforce initiatives. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders to understand needs, define requirements, and shape solution strategy.
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and design reviews.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business friendly language. Integration & Data
- Design integration patterns using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica).
- Define data governance, data quality, and master data management approaches.
- Oversee data migration strategies and execution. Governance & Best Practices
- Establish and enforce development standards, security models, and release management processes.
- Ensure compliance with Salesforce security, privacy, and architectural guidelines.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend platform enhancements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- 7+ years experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions in complex environments.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, automation tools, integration capabilities, and platform limits.
- Hands on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL, and API integrations.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders.
- Experience with enterprise integration tools and patterns.
- Salesforce certifications such as:
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect
- Salesforce Certified System Architect
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) - preferred
- Salesforce Administrator / Advanced Admin
- Platform App Builder / Platform Developer I & II
- Experience in Agile environments and DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control) preferred.
- Background in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SAFe) preferred.
- Experience with industry specific Salesforce clouds (e.g., Health Cloud, Financial Services Cloud) preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills preferred.
- Delivering Salesforce solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business strategy preferred.
- Reducing technical debt and improving platform performance preferred.
- Enabling teams with clear architectural guidance and documentation preferred.
- Driving innovation by leveraging new Salesforce capabilities preferred.
