UKG Pro Consultant(100% Remote)
Role UKG Pro WFM Solution Architect (iSeries → Pro WFM Migration) Location - Remote Role Summary The UKG Pro WFM Solution Architect will lead architecture stabilization, redesign, and optimization for an ongoing migration from UKG Kronos iSeries (AS/400) to UKG Pro Workforce Management. This role is accountable for correcting migration design issues, resolving complex functional and technical challenges, and ensuring the Pro WFM solution is scalable, compliant, and sustainable post-go-live.
Key Responsibilities
Migration Recovery & Architecture
- Assess current migration state and identify copy-paste design issues
- Redesign pay rules, accruals, and scheduling using Pro WFM native capabilities
- Define target-state architecture for Pro WFM (functional + technical)
- Eliminate legacy technical debt introduced from iSeries
- Define data retention and archival strategy
Functional Governance
- Review and rationalize: Pay rules and work rules, Accrual policies & Scheduling
patterns and rotations
- Ensure alignment with: Healthcare compliance and labor laws, Union agreements and local policies
- Approve configuration standards and design decisions
Technical Architecture & Integrations
- Define integration strategy for:Payroll, HRIS / ERP & Clocks and badge readers
- Review and redesign: Interfaces (flat file → API where applicable) & Data migration logic and validation rules
Required Experience & Skills (Mandatory)
- 12+ years UKG Workforce Management experience
- Deep hands-on experience with Kronos/UKG iSeries AND Pro WFM
- Proven experience rescuing or stabilizing in-flight migrations
- Strong healthcare workforce management experience
- Expert knowledge of: Pay rules & complex premiums, Accrual logic & Advanced scheduling
Technical & Architectural
- Pro WFM configuration architecture
- Data migration and reconciliation strategies
- Payroll and HR integrations
- Performance tuning and optimization
Leadership
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to challenge legacy assumptions
- Executive communication and decision facilitation
Preferred
- UKG Pro WFM Architect certification
- Experience with large healthcare systems or unions
