The Role of a Patient Care Advocate
As a Patient Care Advocate, you'll play a critical role in helping patients navigate their pharmacy benefits and addressing their concerns with empathy and expertise. You'll be responsible for:
- Responding to phone inquiries from patients and addressing their questions and concerns with care and attention to detail
- Helping patients understand their pharmacy benefits and providing guidance on how to access the care they need
- Documenting patient interactions in real-time to ensure accurate and timely communication
- Identifying and addressing patient concerns, and escalating issues as necessary
- Collaborating with our team to provide comprehensive support to patients and ensure their needs are met
Key Responsibilities
* Help patients understand their pharmacy benefits and provide guidance on how to access the care they need
- Respond to phone inquiries from patients and address their questions and concerns with care and attention to detail
- Document patient interactions in real-time to ensure accurate and timely communication
- Identify and address patient concerns, and escalate issues as necessary
- Collaborate with our team to provide comprehensive support to patients and ensure their needs are met
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices to provide the highest level of care to patients
What We're Looking For
* High School Diploma or GED required
- College degree or Junior College degree with a healthcare focus preferred
- 1 year of relevant customer care experience
- Intermediate to Advanced PC knowledge
- Ability to navigate multiple screens and systems
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to work specified shifts and extended hours as necessary
