Job Summary

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, answering their questions, resolving their issues, and helping them navigate the complexities of their health care plans. You will be the primary point of contact for our members, and your interactions will be guided by our Heart At Work Behaviors, which emphasize empathy, compassion, and a commitment to delivering personalized support.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to our members, answering their questions, resolving their issues, and helping them navigate the complexities of their health care plans

  • Engage with members to understand their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of their health care plans, tools, and resources
  • Educate members on their plan benefits, Aetna policy and procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Create an emotional connection with members by understanding and engaging with them to champion their best health
  • Anticipate customer needs and provide related information to answer unasked questions
  • Explain member's rights and responsibilities in accordance with contract
  • Document and track contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors
  • Triages resulting rework to appropriate staff

Essential Qualifications

* Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment, such as a call center or retail location, with a proven ability to be empathetic and compassionate

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical skills
