Program Details

The program will run from January 13th, 2025, to April 15th, 2025. Preference will be given to Service Providers (SPs) who can commit and work all 14 weeks of the program. As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the flexibility to choose your schedule.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service via phone, chat, and email
  • Resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues
  • Staying up-to-date on product knowledge and tax laws to provide accurate information to customers
  • Meeting service level and contact per hour commitments
  • Working well under pressure to meet team productivity goals
  • Demonstrating initiative and the ability to multitask
  • Adhering to work schedules and being flexible to work extra shifts when needed

Technical Requirements

To succeed as a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle change well
  • Intermediate level of knowledge in operating systems and software environment
  • Experience with software troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to modify communication style to meet customer needs and tone
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas to customers
  • Ability to diffuse situations with angry customers
  • Comfortable working in a training environment that includes watching self-paced training module videos
  • Willingness to step-in as needed, including answering questions from customers via chat

As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will need to:

  • Understand and accept schedule adherence in a call center environment
  • Have excellent time management skills and understand the value of circling back with a customer even just to let them know you are still looking into their issue

Knowledge/Background Experience

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • High School graduate
  • Basic knowledge of tax laws and tax concepts (preferable)
  • Experience providing support in a call center environment and comfortable using chat (preferable)

Behavioral Competencies

As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will need to:

  • Adhere to work schedules and be flexible to work extra shifts when needed
  • Be comfortable being on camera with customers and understand the value of humanizing the interaction
  • Make customers and their needs a primary focus of your actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships
  • Demonstrate a positive/understanding attitude in the face of difficult or challenging customer interactions
  • Possess active listening skills and know how to ask probing questions to arrive at answers quicker

Operating Hours

As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will be required to work the following hours:

  • Operating Hours: 8am to midnight EST; Monday to Sunday
  • Required Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Peak Period:

+ April 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th: 8am-midnight EST/EDT + April 15, 2025: 8am-3am EST/EDT + $5 Turbo Bonus Boost per hour (applicable to all hours worked from April 9th to 15th)

Minimum Hours to be Worked Each Week

You must work a minimum of 30 hours each week on all schedules.

Mandatory Requirements

To participate in this program, you must:

  • Reside in the USA
  • Pass a background check and tech check to attend certification
  • Be on camera during certification
  • Program will run from January 13th, 2025, to April 15th, 2025. Preference will be given to Service Providers (SPs) who can commit and work all 14 weeks of the program.
  • Service Provider (SP) must have the following Hardware Requirements:

+ Windows Computer (Mac and Chromebooks are not permitted) + Windows 10 or 11 + AMD or Intel Core Series (I3-I9) + At least 8gb of RAM + Webcam + Wired Mouse + USB Headset + Wired Internet Connection

Conflict of Interest

You cannot hold Gigs with Column Tax or any Intuit Vendors.

Training Information

The training program will consist of 20 hours of self-paced training module videos. The cost of the training program is $79.99 USD.
