As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping arenaflex achieve its goals by analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst at arenaflex's Transportation Analytics crew, you will be responsible for:
- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets and performing ad-hoc analyses to inform business decisions
- Creating ETLs or scripts that pull data from multiple sources and centralize it in a single table
- Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
- Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs
- Partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks for reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition)
- Documenting your methods and sharing your expertise with colleagues
- Mentoring colleagues as you become a Subject Matter Expert
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manage data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience)
- Creativity with a user experience basis to develop impactful Tableau dashboards (1-2 years of experience)
- Business operations fluency, with the ability to recognize and root out business problems (a Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau
- Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
