Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Experience Banker Resource to join our Branch Resource Team. As a full-time team member, you will engage in proactive sales and customer service activities, including teller transactions, and travel between assigned branches to provide exceptional support to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in proactive sales and customer service activities, including teller transactions, to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services
  • Serve in a concierge role by servicing walk-in customers and providing exemplary customer service
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, balancing daily transactions while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Effectively resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Demonstrate a strong comfort level with technology, educating customers on how to optimize their use of bank technology, including online, mobile, and ATM banking
  • Proactively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners
  • Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong internal partnerships, adhering to OCR guidelines
  • Adhere to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Proficient in consumer deposit products and consumer lending, with a solid understanding of banking principles and practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation, with the ability to travel between assigned branches as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year or more of customer service experience in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales
  • Cash handling skills, with experience in processing transactions and managing cash handling responsibilities
  • Comfort with technology, including mobile services and online banking services, with the ability to educate customers on how to optimize their use of bank technology
  • Experience in a sales-oriented environment, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
