Job Summary: Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled BIM Specialist with expertise in sustainable apparel design. This role is ideal for a candidate passionate about integrating cutting-edge BIM technology with eco-friendly and sustainable fashion processes. The successful candidate will lead the digital design and modeling of apparel projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability throughout the production lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a global team of designers, engineers, and sustainability experts to drive innovation in the fashion and apparel sector. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for sustainable apparel design projects.

  • *

Collaborate with fashion designers, technical designers, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of sustainability principles in design and manufacturing processes.

  • *

Use BIM software to create accurate digital prototypes, specifications, and production-ready designs.

  • *

Analyze design options to optimize resource usage, minimize waste, and ensure sustainable practices.

  • *

Maintain version control and manage project documentation within the BIM environment.

  • *

Train and mentor junior staff or stakeholders in BIM workflows and sustainable design methodologies.

  • *

Monitor and ensure compliance with sustainability standards, certifications, and regulations.

  • *

Continuously research and implement innovative BIM technologies and sustainable design trends.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • *

Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Fashion Technology, Apparel Design, or a related field.

  • *

Strong proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar platforms.

  • *

Solid understanding of sustainable fashion practices, eco-friendly materials, and circular design principles.

  • *

Excellent technical drawing and 3D modeling skills.

  • *

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities.

  • *

Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

  • *

Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

  • Experience:
  • *

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in BIM modeling for fashion, apparel, or related industries.

  • *

Proven experience in sustainable design initiatives or green product development.

  • *

Experience working with remote or global teams is a plus.

  • Working Hours:
  • *

Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • *

Flexibility in work hours for collaboration with international teams may be required.

  • *

Remote or hybrid work options available depending on project requirements.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Deep knowledge of BIM workflows and digital design processes.

  • *

Familiarity with materials sustainability, life cycle assessment (LCA), and circular design principles.

Strong computer literacy, including MS Office, 3D visualization software, and project management tools.

Ability to translate complex design requirements into actionable BIM models.

  • *

High level of creativity combined with practical problem-solving skills.
