Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our Payroll team on a remote basis. As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll be responsible for inputting employee data, processing payroll transactions, and maintaining accurate records. You'll work closely with our Payroll Manager to ensure smooth operations and compliance with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Input employee data into the payroll system: Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee data, including demographic information, payroll details, and benefits.
  • Process payroll transactions: Input time and attendance, deductions, and taxes into the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and files: Ensure all payroll-related documents and records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks and other payroll-related documents: Prepare and distribute paychecks, direct deposit statements, and other payroll-related documents to employees.
  • Assist with the resolution of payroll-related inquiries and issues: Provide excellent customer service by responding to employee inquiries and resolving payroll-related issues in a timely and professional manner.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 to 10 years of experience in data entry or a related field: Proven experience in data entry, payroll operations, or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential for this role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy: You'll need to be detail-oriented and accurate in your work to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accuracy of payroll records.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines: You'll need to be able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for providing excellent customer service and working effectively with colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations: Familiarity with payroll processes and regulations is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with payroll software: Experience with payroll software, such as ADP or Paychex, is a plus.
