Key Responsibilities

As a Team Lead, IT Data Governance, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the creation, support, and rollout of arenaflex's Information Administration Abilities
  • Ensuring the Capacity's work processes, norms, cycles, strategies, and rules are in place to make it a reality
  • Being an essential part of the Information Administration Program Management from an Information Quality capacity side
  • Collaborating across the organization to enable Information Administration and information Quality guidelines
  • Working with our Information Administration Leader Board to define and track key metrics and KPIs for each Ability
  • Researching, auditing, suggesting, and rolling out new software
  • Working with the Information Administration Stage team(s) to automate Ability processes
  • Serving as the Item Owner for Ability Items
  • Representing the Ability and being its primary advocate

What You'll Need for Success

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration)
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information Analysis and Data Governance
  • Experience carrying out at least one Information Administration Capacity in an organization
  • Experience creating and following metrics to determine the adoption/progress of information administration capacities
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence items, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses
  • Experience working with sensitive data (e.g., PII, SPII, PHI) and relevant regulatory approaches that govern such data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Experience working with Information Quality and Observability tools

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will be beneficial:

  • Change management experience, recognizing downstream data impacts for regulatory requirements and reporting
  • Experience automating data governance processes/work processes using market-leading data governance products
  • Detailed experience delivering data governance artifacts, such as data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data development controls, and data component-level data quality controls
  • Experience as an Information Steward (acting as a data expert, examining, and investigating data access, serving as an item owner for a data item, data space, etc.)
  • Experience working in DevOps structures
  • Carrier, Avionics, Travel, or Hospitality experience

Essential Skills and Competencies

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong understanding of Information and Insightful concepts
  • Data Governance certifications: CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional)
  • Ability to bridge the communication gap by translating technical administration concepts to the business
  • Ability to be adaptable in an evolving work model and willing to pivot quickly on areas of focus
  • Ability to manage tasks and teams from idea generation through execution
