Our products help state and local organizations scale the impact they have in workforce development, economic development and human services. Launchpad’s products are natively built on the Salesforce Platform. We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to lead the technical foundation of our Salesforce-based product platform and help evolve it from regional deployments into enterprise-grade, statewide solutions. This role bridges product strategy and engineering execution, translating roadmap priorities into scalable architecture while ensuring alignment with state workforce priorities, federal compliance requirements, and Launchpad’s long-term platform vision. You will partner closely with the senior leadership, customer delivery teams and internal staff to help consolidate new features into the product, and also roadmap future releases. This is a highly hands-on role responsible for Salesforce platform architecture, CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and applied AI capabilities. You will progressively assume technical ownership of Launchpad’s managed package and product release lifecycle. Key Responsibilities — Product Architecture & Product Enablement

• Lead Salesforce platform architecture, progressively assuming ownership of the managed package lifecycle, including versioning strategy and release processes.
• Design upgrade-safe data models, metadata frameworks, and configuration patterns to support multi-customer scale and long-term platform evolution.
• Establish and enforce development standards across Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, APIs, and Custom Metadata.
• Partner with Product and Delivery leadership to translate roadmap priorities into scalable platform capabilities.
• Lead feature rollout strategies with controlled deployments and backward compatibility across product releases.
• Learn and apply Salesforce ISV best practices and security review requirements across releases.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design artifacts, release notes, and implementation guides.
• Establish architectural review processes and release readiness gates to ensure platform quality, reliability, and scalability.

Hands-On Platform Development & Technical Leadership

• Contribute directly to core platform development using Apex, LWC, Flows, and automation.
• Architect and evolve CI/CD pipelines and GitHub environments to support reliable, repeatable product deployments.
• Establish engineering practices that improve velocity, quality, and consistency across development teams.
• Provide technical leadership across internal and distributed engineering resources.

AI & Intelligent Features

• Design and implement early-stage AI-powered product capabilities supporting workflow automation, case management, intelligent routing, and summarization.
• Define guardrails for responsible AI usage and secure LLM integrations with strong data governance.
• Integrate AI-driven tooling into engineering workflows.
• Contribute directly to AI functionality embedded in the platform.
• Help evolve Launchpad toward an intelligent workforce platform.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of Salesforce architecture and development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development
• Strong Salesforce platform expertise (Apex, LWC, APIs, Flows, security, data modeling)
• Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn Salesforce Managed Package development and ISV release processes
• Experience delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions in SaaS or multi-org environments
• Strong SaaS product mindset (platform ownership vs single-org delivery)
• Ability to grow into technical ownership of a managed package and release lifecycle
• Experience leading internal and distributed development teams
• Strong communication skills across Product, Engineering, and Leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Platform Developer II
• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications
• Experience with Experience Cloud and Service Cloud
• Familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., Agentforce, LLM services)
• Background in workforce, government, or human services systems
• Experience designing secure, compliant enterprise platforms
