Key Responsibilities:

As an Experienced Customer Service & Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs, and recommending products to meet their requirements
  • Learning about products using our tools and providing information to customers to sell an entire project
  • Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer in your department
  • Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Working in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
  • Adhering to sales processes and procedures to achieve sales targets and meet customer needs
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports to track sales performance and customer interactions

As an Experienced Customer Service & Sales Representative, you may work in various store departments, including:

  • Building Materials
  • Décor
  • Electrical
  • Flooring
  • Garden
  • Hardware
  • Kitchen & Bath
  • Lumber
  • Millwork
  • Paint
  • Plumbing
  • Tool Rental

Sales Position Types:

You may be assigned to one or more of the following sales position types:

  • Department Sales
  • Lead Generator
  • Pro Account Sales
  • Sales Specialist
  • Special Services
  • Customer Order Specialist

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Previous experience in a retail or sales environment
  • Knowledge of building materials, tools, or related products
  • Experience with sales software or CRM systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
