Responsibilities

As an Experienced Ramp Agent (Customer Service Representative) at JFK Airport, you'll be responsible for:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and minimizing delays.
  • Guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions, adhering to arenaflex's high standards of safety and security.
  • Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Utilizing baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to destinations, minimizing errors and delays.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to passengers, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless airport operations, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT), demonstrating your physical fitness and ability to perform the demands of the role.
  • A commitment to safety and security, adhering to arenaflex's high standards and regulations.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
