Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following: Business Optimization:

  • Document and understanding current state, define failure mode points, develop should-cost models, and develop engineered labor standards
  • Develop and implement standard design and strategies for the customers warehouse, automation, and material distribution strategies
  • Identify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product dimensional profiles, product flow and transportation methods
  • Develop and implement production time studies, head count analyses, downtime analyses, efficiency improvement plans, warehouse slotting and SKU velocity analyses
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve flow; analyze inbound, outbound and inventory operations to create and maintain optimum warehouse operations
  • Perform value stream mapping, process improvements and standardization across multiple customer sites
  • Work with vendors to identify operational equipment and automation solutions

Consultation/Customer Service:

  • Provide industry feedback to the network on trends, pressures, and competitive evaluation of key competitors in the marketplace
  • Understand how to leverage departments within the warehouses, other account teams, and Customer Shared Services teams Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • Minimum of 2 years engineering experience
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) Skills Supply chain, Industrial engineering, value stream mapping, Manufacturing engineering, Industrial, wms, warehouse management system, autocad, designing, Material flow, Logistics, Process improvement Top Skills Details Supply chain,Industrial engineering,value stream mapping Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred
  • Experience in, maintenance, and safety of warehouses / facilities
  • Third party logistics experience
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and management skills to include the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Warehouse modeling and simulation software experience Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
