Key Responsibilities:

As an Experienced Customer Service and Sales Professional at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs, and recommending products to meet their requirements
  • Learning about products and services using our tools and training programs
  • Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing sales with customers in assigned departments
  • Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards
  • Working in cooperation with Department Supervisors and other associates in assigned departments
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
  • Participating in sales training and development programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Identifying and resolving customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Essential Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on sales and customer satisfaction
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment

  • Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products and services
  • Experience with sales software and technology, such as CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with customers in multiple languages
