Earn a competitive wage, have affordable and comprehensive insurance benefits, a retirement plan, paid time off, and more!** As an RN Senior-Evening Officer of the Day (OD) you will provide clinical assistance and oversight to the nursing staff in the delivery of quality care to the residents of the MN Veterans Home by ensuring continuous operations. In this position you will serve the MN Veterans Home by assisting in the completion of the clinical assessments required by our regulatory agencies and demonstrating best practice clinical standard and provide the guidelines to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the residents. The RN Senior-Evening OD will provide direction to the nursing staff in the delivery of quality care and ensure that all scheduling and operational needs of the home are met. You will work as a member of the nursing department leadership team and provide guidance and direction regarding the delivery of clinical services be a resource for nursing staff as well as the person in charge in the building when leadership is not available. This is a part-time position primarily scheduled on the evening shift. The work schedule will include at least 48 hours per two-week pay period and may include additional work hours, based on business needs. The position is initially eligible for partial employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits.
• *Minimum Qualifications** + Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse, in good standing. + Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term health care setting with primary responsibility for assessing nursing and health needs. + Experience with clinical documentation and writing investigative reports. + Effective communication skills. + Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to skilled nursing and state survey. + Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• *Preferred Qualifications** + Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse working in a Skilled Nursing facility with primary responsibility for coordinating and assessing plan of care. + Experience working in close cooperation with an interdisciplinary team. + Experience leading or supervising professional-level nursing staff.
