What You'll Do:
As a Hybrid Customer Service Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and processing prescription approvals for veterinary medication. Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging directly with veterinary clinics: You'll coordinate prescription approvals, resolve customer issues, and clarify order inquiries with veterinary clinics.
- Researching and problem-solving: You'll research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers and clinic partners, and follow-up as needed to resolve issues.
- Completing data entry: You'll complete data entry of prescriptions into arenaflex healthcare software.
- Maintaining high-quality data entry and order processing: You'll maintain a high level of quality through data entry and order processing of veterinary pharmacy orders.
- Operating with understanding, active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness: You'll provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with customers and partners.
- Communicating with veterinary clinics: You'll communicate with veterinary clinics over the phone (and other channels as needed) using our internal computer software and systems to research solutions and document clinic note accounts.
- Expecting a significant part of the workday to be outbound veterinary clinic/customer phone contacts: You'll be prepared to handle a high volume of phone calls and communicate effectively with customers and partners.
- Other duties as assigned: You'll be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
What You'll Need:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Be at least 18 years old and have the appropriate licensure in the state of the pharmacy you are working at, and other states and credentials as required: You'll need to meet the necessary licensure requirements for the state where you'll be working.
- 1-2 years working in a customer or healthcare focused environment: You'll need to have experience working in a customer or healthcare-focused environment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening): You'll need to be able to communicate effectively with customers and partners.
- Ability to multi-task (i.e. talk on the phone while navigating on the computer and taking notes): You'll need to be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Operate with ownership, be a self-starter, and have a strong attention to detail: You'll need to be proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook: You'll need to be familiar with Microsoft Outlook and able to use it effectively.
- High school education or equivalent: You'll need to have a high school education or equivalent.
- Critical thinking skills: You'll need to be able to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and perform well in a face-paced environment: You'll need to be able to handle a high volume of work and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to adapt to change in accordance with the business needs of the company: You'll need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing business needs.
- Flexibility to shift schedule and work overtime as needed by the business unit: You'll need to be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Must bring proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information: You'll need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
- Must be able to pass background check: You'll need to be able to pass a background check.
