Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative II, you'll be responsible for:

  • Effectively interviewing and profiling new and existing customers to recommend appropriate banking products and services
  • Partnering with other business lines within the Bank to identify sales opportunities and enhance customer experience
  • Opening and closing customer accounts, including checking, savings, money markets, certificates of deposit, and IRAs
  • Cross-selling bank products and services to meet customer needs and referral goals
  • Participating in sales programs to generate new customers and maintaining thorough knowledge of bank products and services
  • Actively listening to customers and maintaining a friendly, positive, professional attitude
  • Resolving difficult situations with creativity, tact, and diplomacy
  • Supporting branch lobby management and providing exceptional customer service using STAR qualities
  • Participating in community events and performing daily teller services such as processing deposits and withdrawals
  • Balancing cash drawer independently and maintaining compliance with cash handling policies
  • Assisting in branch audit functions and following arenaflex's policies and procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of cash handling and customer service experience
  • Banking experience preferred, with some experience in opening new deposit accounts
  • Demonstrated success in cross-selling banking services and products
  • Strong customer relations skills and ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • PC experience required, with knowledge of Word, Excel, and teller/bank software preferred
  • Self-starter, dependable, and able to work under pressure with deadlines
  • Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information

Nice-to-haves

While not required, experience in a banking environment and knowledge of financial products and services are highly desirable.
