Senior Program Analysis Support (Program Analyst IV)

Overview: Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Goldbelt Professional Services specializes in providing expert resources for Public Health missions including scientific, technical, and administrative support from junior staff to high-level subject matter experts. Summary: The Public Health Analyst IV will serve as an analyst and, independently or as part of a team, plans, manages, and/or evaluates large public health program(s), projects, and/or study activities. Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct short- and long-term planning, program development, policy and program analysis, and program evaluations.
  • Provide consultation services to CDC staff in the establishment of program standards, policies, strategies, goals, and evaluation plans in conjunction with senior staff.
  • Collect and interpret data and information from a variety of sources and prepare recommendations accordingly.
  • Research various sources and references and respond to inquiries and write issue and background papers, a variety of reports, program policies, proposals, and other substantive program documentation.
  • Provide consultation services to CDC staff with meeting planning including the development of meeting agendas, preparation of policies and recommendations, development of meeting contracts, assist meeting logistics and coordination with meeting contractors, and publication of meeting notices.
  • Provide consultation services to CDC staff on complex public health grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts.
  • Provide consultation services to CDC staff with formulating and executing the annual budget for assigned and preparing annual budget report. Inform decisions on allocations of funds and changes expenditures. Monitor expenditures, including maintenance of appropriate records, all correspondence, publications, periodicals, directives, guidelines, and budget files and preparation of all fiscal reports.
  • Provide consultation services to CDC staff to prepare and make presentations related to DHQP policy needs.
  • Oversee the assembly of adverse drug event case reports and ensures data integrity and quality
  • Generate monthly and annual quality assessment evaluations related to data collection and communicate findings to National Electronic Injury Surveillance System Cooperative Adverse Drug Event Surveillance (NEISS-CADES )team and surveillance system partners to improve data quality
  • Maintenance of the NEISS-CADES surveillance database and provide information and assistance to other staff regarding effective recording and display of information
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, communications resource, and problem-solver related to data collection aspects for the NEISS-CADES team.
  • Provide consultative services on large and difficult programs or projects that have unusually demanding technical problems or issues.

Qualifications: Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based public health environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ or more years of progressively responsible experience in public health surveillance, infection prevention, or epidemiology.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) or comparable public health surveillance systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field.

Pay and Benefits The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
