[Remote] Credit Strategy Analyst

The Credit Strategy Analyst will drive the growth of the home-secured personal loan portfolio by refining credit strategies and performing data-driven analysis to improve investor returns.

Responsibilities

• This individual will be responsible for monitoring, refining, and developing Credit strategies (including underwriting, pricing, loan amount & fees) for home secured personal loans
• Create test/control champion/challenger tests and monitoring to inform future strategies
• Provide scenario analysis/create financial impact sizing/develop new strategy test case
• Perform ad-hoc analytics, create reporting and presentations
• Work across functional areas to drive overall growth, product enhancements, and improve web funnel conversion rates across all channels
• Partner with Decision Science to define and develop Credit models and tools
• Maintain overall risk and return targets for investors, particularly in a changing economic environment Skills
• 5-7+ years' experience in a similar analytical role
• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, other quantitative major required; Master's degree a plus
• Experience in the financial industry, credit risk and mortgage/home equity experience required
• Must be proficient in Python or similar, SQL, and MS Excel
• Must be proficient in interpreting data using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques
• Excellent English written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
• Highly independent and self-motivated to form opinions that are supported by data
• Strong knowledge of modeling tools and techniques and use in strategy
• Ability to understand competitive pressure, economic trends and their business impacts
• High Energy with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable interacting and engaging with colleagues from all levels of management across all business units and third-party vendors
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills including self-direction, coaching, and mentoring
• Highly motivated, well organized, capable of developing and executing business analysis, and able to communicate status and results effectively
• Ability to succeed within a cross-functional team emphasizing Collective Ownership in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
• Be confident and willing to challenge status quo, but also willing to concede and execute other's ideas when necessary
• Capable of teaching and learning from others to promote continuity of knowledge and personal development
• Cultivate good working relationships with other business units, particularly Marketing, Operations, and Finance
• Previous experience with Business Intelligence reporting (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc) is desirable Benefits
