Job Summary/Description: Gray Media is currently in search of a passionate Flutter Mobile App Developer with native iOS (Swift) experience to take on a pivotal role in developing Gray's mobile news experience. Collaborate with a dynamic team of innovators and contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge updates and features designed to captivate our mobile and television audience. This is a remote position. Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
  • Develop and maintain engaging mobile applications using Flutter for a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of mobile developers, cultivating a creative environment for shared success and advancing our iOS experience and platform stability.
  • Enhance and maintain native iOS components using Swift when deeper platform integration is required.
  • Actively participate in designing and implementing new features that redefine mobile news.
  • Craft visually appealing interfaces, elevating the aesthetic of our applications.
  • Seamlessly integrate additional functionality using 3rd party SDKs and plugins.
  • Publish and manage Gray's applications on Apple App Store and Google Play Store, ensuring proper configuration of native settings, certificates, and build workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of television-based applications for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 2+ years of hands-on Flutter experience, proficient in cross-platform development, state management, app architecture, and Dart programming, with additional proficiency in Swift for native iOS development.
  • Successfully released mobile apps on Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Familiarity with Xcode, Apple Developer Program provisioning, and integrating Swift modules into Flutter projects.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub for effective version control.
  • Familiarity with mobile app design principles and UI/UX best practices.
  • Experienced in developing mobile app features: push notifications, video players, permissions, and privacy controls.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mobile development lifecycle, including automated testing and building processes.
  • Effective communication skills in a collaborative, preferably Scrum-oriented, team environment.
  • Experience with other native languages or frameworks such as Kotlin, React Native, and BrightScript.
