We are seeking a Junior Oracle Business Analyst reporting directly to the Manager of Oracle Services. This is a remote position but needs to support West Coast working hours of 8:30AM-5:30PM. The Junior Oracle Business Analyst will play a critical role in documenting and understanding existing business processes, making improvements, and deploying Oracle based solution(s). This candidate must be able to facilitate business process review sessions with our stakeholders, document processes, build business requirements and design solutions. The Oracle Business Analyst will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders. Being results-focused, tenacious and a problem solver is a must for this role. The candidate will need to demonstrate experience researching, understanding, and applying knowledge of Oracle capabilities/functionality to business needs within a global organization. Job Summary The Junior Oracle Business Analyst works in close partnership with the Manager Oracle Services, Business Analysts, Business Process Owners, Developers, and End Users, to optimize and automate supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial business processes specific to the Oracle application. The position plays a critical role in identifying opportunities to add business value, pursue improved or new technology functionality, and drive the maximum level of standardization of business processes and technology across the entire corporation. This position plans, designs, tests, and deploys efficient information systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes developing business cases, gathering detailed business and systems requirements and user stories/journeys. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. The primary focus of this position is order management, however it will depend on business needs crossing a variety of Oracle modules. Order Management:

Responsibilities

• Understand, document, and analyze the current state of the business processes
• Use knowledge of best practices and functional expertise to drive change in the organization through technology and business process redesign, maximizing the return on investment of our Oracle Application
• Understand, validate, and document business needs, distinguish between needs and wants, identify gaps between business needs and standard Salesforce functionality, design specification for developers as appropriate
• As project assignments allow, participate in the support/analysis/resolution of critical production application issues to protect end users' ability to run the business
• Actively participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Control processes, including: requirements gathering and translation, analysis, documentation of functional and technical design specifications, solution design, development oversight, testing/Conference Room Pilots, sign-off, training, and implementation.
• Develop, document, and fully execute test plans to assess the integrity and accuracy of business processes, module functionality setups and modifications, enhancements/customizations, and patches.
• Manage assigned project/enhancements using Service Now ITBM
• Identify/document tasks/deliverables, create project schedules, assign tasks, perform project oversight, and provide project status
• Work with management/team members/users to ensure project stays on schedule and negotiate/adjust resources and priorities
• Develop and maintain end user training documentation and deliver training/demos/presentations as required
• Develop and maintain business process documentation in flowchart and narrative form as necessary to support compliance (External Audit, JSOX, International Trade)
• Help to establish team priorities based on statutory requirements, financial impact, and operational impact to the business
• Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL
• Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited college or university
• 1-3 years’ experience as an Oracle business analyst (Supporting Oracle EBS Versions 11i, 12)
• 1+ of planning skills that include: project coordination and management, planning and scheduling, time management and the ability to handle multiple deadlines
• Strong business acumen: Establish and maintain effective relationships, develop business cases and ROI’s for solution design proposals
• Thorough knowledge of business processes as they relate to assigned area of focus in a diverse manufacturing organization
• Strong process orientation with proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology-based implementation
• Results-focused, tenacious, multi-tasking problem solver, capable of complex thinking and analysis
• Proven ability to research, understand, and apply knowledge of the Oracle Application to business needs within the organization
• Ability to train and provide support to users as required
