Portfolio Manager - Credit/Lending - Remote

The Portfolio Manager is experienced in commercial credit analysis and will be responsible for assisting in the review and monitoring of commercial loans to help Optum Bank build, maintain, and accurately risk grade its solid commercial credit portfolio. This will involve working closely with other portfolio managers, analysts, underwriters, and credit administration. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely

  • from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite and document loan modification requests and annual loan reviews on existing commercial loans
  • Prepare clear and concise credit presentations for annual reviews, including financial analysis, collateral assessment, risk and mitigant identification, and recommendations for current risk rating
  • Spread borrower and guarantor financial statements, test and monitor financial covenants, perform collateral analysis, and prepare market assessments
  • Update loan metrics and risk ratings accurately and timely
  • May also occasionally perform credit underwriting on new requests by creating credit underwriting memos which analyze the credit request, the borrower, financial and credit information, repayment sources, risks and mitigation, collateral, and compliance with applicable regulations and policies
  • Be knowledgeable of policies, guidelines, procedures, regulations and systems applicable to the credit function
  • Ensure that loan files and documentation are complete
  • Make, recommend, and present credit decisions to credit administration and credit committee through both effective written and verbal communication
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients
  • Assist with timely reporting and analysis of financial information collected from borrowers You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing business and personal financial statements associated with loan requests
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing commercial property rent rolls and financial statements
  • 2+ years of experience managing a portfolio of commercial loans, including commercial real estate loans
  • Experience with commercial real estate financing, loan documentation, lending laws, portfolio monitoring, and loan servicing Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a formal commercial credit training program
  • Experience managing watch list loans and working out problem loans
  • Reside in Utah

The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
