Reporting to the Head of Data Management, as Senior Manager, Clinical Data Management, you will help lead clinical trials and develop and maintain study-specific documentation, including Data Management Plans, eCRF specifications, CRF Completion Guidelines, Data Validation Guidelines, Data Transfer Specifications, Coding Guidelines, Post Production Database Change Control Documentation, Database Audit and Lock Procedures Your impact: The Senior Manager, Clinical Data Management will help lead clinical trials and provide oversight for outsourced clinical data management activities by working effectively with CRO partners to develop and standardize data handling plans, data transfer specifications, metrics and data review tools. Your day-to-day:

  • Serve as Data Management Lead on assigned clinical trials, attending CST meetings and overseeing all data management activities and timelines.
  • Provide oversight of CROs, ensuring deliverables meet CDASH, SDTM, and industry standards.
  • Review and approve database designs, edit checks, CRF Completion Guidelines, and Data Management Plans.
  • Collaborate with programmers to design eCRFs and edit checks in the EDC system.
  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and test cases.
  • Manage data imports, integration, reconciliation, and query resolution to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform routine data reviews and support medical coding validation with clinical teams.
  • Assist in designing data listings and performing SAE reconciliation.
  • Lead database cleaning, pre-lock, and lock activities.
  • Create training materials and user guides for EDC systems.
  • Generate and review study metrics and data status reports.
  • Participate in team and client meetings, providing regular status updates.
  • Archive study databases and documentation per regulatory and company standards.
  • Support timeline planning and implement technical solutions as needed.

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or health related field or equivalent and 8+ years of clinical data management experience in biotech or pharma, with experience across EDC platforms, Medidata EDC preferred
  • Proven ability to represent Data Management on cross-functional Clinical Study Teams (CST), providing strategic input and ensuring alignment of data-related activities with overall study goals.
  • Industry or sponsor-side experience in a clinical research environment required; experience in Neurology or CNS indications (e.g., epilepsy, pain, mood disorders) is preferred but not required
  • Solid technical skills across data platforms; programming experience preferred
  • Leading a trial from a Data Management perspective
  • Previous experience designing clinical trials utilizing CDASH and SDTM standard terminology
  • Proficient in cross collaboration with other related functions such as Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, Clinical Operations and Pharmacovigilance
  • Strong understanding of FDA and ICH GCP guidelines, with experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits preferred.
  • Proficient with data visualization software/tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Your Compensation We get it. Compensation is an important part of your offer. We tell you about our hiring range now - we expect the hiring range for this role to be $165,000 to $185,000. Our actual offer will reflect a lot of factors including your relevant skills, experience, location, salary market data, and internal equity.
