Graduate Engineer-Civil Wind

Ulteig is seeking talented and motivated candidates for a Graduate Civil Engineer supporting renewable development projects. The Graduate Civil Engineer will be responsible for performing routine engineering tasks on wind and solar renewable energy projects under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of construction plans and specifications of utility scale wind, solar and/or Battery storage (BESS) renewable projects
• Assisting in the preparation of structural designs and drawings for solar foundations and support structures
• Conducts project specification research to determine applicable building codes and ensuring specific project requirements are addressed in the design
• Works closely with other engineering technicians and experienced engineers on multiple projects as assigned
• Complete typical civil design tasks including design calculation reports, grading and erosion control plans, construction details, and stormwater management design
• Design and production in AutoCAD Civil 3D software Prepare project quantity take-offs for civil design of renewable energy projects
• Support and develop project permit applications
• Technically involved with the resolution of design problems that may include performing field investigation or observations
• Complete work as assigned by project discipline leads, including performing necessary design calculations, drafting reports, and design plan preparation
• Provide technical comparisons and similar technical work within the assigned market

Skills

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent is required
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
• Ability to apply standard engineering principles and practices
• Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
• Prior engineering internship experience preferred
• Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD experience desired
