Philanthropy Manager.

Salary: £43,000 per annum.

Location: London/Remote. (If based inside London you will be entitled to Inner London allowance of £3,333).

Frequent travel to London will be required.

Contract: Permanent – 35 hours per week.

Join our Philanthropy Team!

In this Permanent Contract, you will strategically manage and drive forward activity to secure significant multi-year donations from major donors and family foundations, supporting organisational priority projects and services alongside unrestricted funding achieved through a pipeline of future activity to maximise income for key areas of growth.

How you'll help to create brighter futures

  • Work collaboratively to implement activities to deliver financial targets, with a responsibility for delivering an annual individual income target that focuses on significant financial gifts from major donors and family foundations.

  • Line manage staff.

  • Developing plans to solicit and engage through plans to create a portfolio that includes existing donors and new prospects.

  • Collaborative working with fundraising colleagues.

  • Applying a range of relationship management techniques to support effective communication strategies.

  • Delivering the Philanthropy growth plan.

  • Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the teams annual planning and reporting processes (including finances).

Let's talk about you

  • Relevant experience of major donor fundraising with an excellent track record of initiating new relationships and securing significant financial gifts.

  • Proven experience of developing, networking, and enhancing donor relationships.

  • Manage a complex pool of prospects and donors.

  • Experience of leading, inspiring and line managing fundraisers.

  • Developing effective working relationships across an organisation, including senior staff and volunteers.

  • A professional and enterprising solutions-focused approach.

  • Clear, concise written communication skills.

  • Travel throughout the UK is necessary in this role.
