About Neolytix

Neolytix is a tech-enabled healthcare services company delivering impactful solutions in medical billing, credentialing, contact center support, virtual staffing, and AI-driven automation.  We empower healthcare organizations across the U.S. to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and patient experience through technology and expertise.

We are now expanding our Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) services and seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial CDI Specialist to help build and scale this function — including developing and managing an offshore delivery team.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (CDI) with a strong background in clinical documentation improvement, DRG validation, HCC coding, and query compliance.  This role combines hands-on CDI work with strategic leadership, supporting the creation of Neolytix’s CDI Center of Excellence.

You’ll collaborate closely with healthcare providers, coders, and revenue cycle teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and complete documentation that reflects the patient’s true clinical picture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement CDI standards, policies, and query guidelines aligned with AHIMA and ACDIS best practices.

  • Perform documentation reviews and audits to identify improvement opportunities and clinical validation gaps.

  • Partner with providers and coding teams to ensure proper code assignment, DRG accuracy, and risk adjustment capture.

  • Conduct educational sessions for coders and providers on documentation best practices.

  • Support or lead the setup of a scalable offshore CDI operations team, including workflow design, QA, and KPI tracking.

  • Collaborate with clients on CDI performance reports and provide actionable insights.

  • Stay up to date with CMS, HCC, and payer documentation requirements.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity, Coding, or Clinical Validation.

  • Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, HCC, and DRG methodologies.

  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient CDI environments.

  • Hands-on experience with query writing, provider education, and audit processes.

  • Certifications preferred:

  • AHIMA: CDIP

  • ACDIS: CCDS, CCDS-O

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Prior experience in healthcare BPO/MSO or offshore CDI operations is a plus.

  • Familiarity with EHR/Encoder tools (3M, Optum, Iodine, Epic, etc.) preferred.

Why Join Neolytix

  • Be a founding member of our CDI service line and shape its growth from the ground up.

  • Work in a dynamic, tech-driven, and innovation-focused environment.

  • Enjoy remote flexibility with career advancement opportunities into leadership.

  • Competitive base salary + performance bonus.

  • HMO, paid time off, training, and CDI certification support provided.

✨ Apply now to be part of Neolytix’s mission to redefine clinical documentation integrity and healthcare quality worldwide.
