We’re hiring a QA Engineer to ensure the reliability and quality of the HeyMilo interviewer experience.

This role is about testing real-time, high-stakes systems - live interviews, streaming responses, timers, async workflows, and edge cases that actually matter.

What You’ll Work On

  • Testing core features used in live AI interviews

  • Designing and executing test strategies for real-time applications

  • Building and maintaining automated test suites

  • Performing manual testing for complex UI and edge cases

  • Collaborating with designers, frontend, backend, and AI engineers to ensure quality

  • Identifying, reproducing, and tracking bugs in production and staging

  • Improving testing processes, coverage, and reliability

  • Ensuring performance, stability, and UX quality across releases

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in QA

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies

  • Experience testing modern web applications (React/Next.js is a plus)

  • Familiarity with APIs, async systems, and real-time applications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to catch edge cases

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing integration

  • You take ownership of quality and push for high standards

  • Familiarity with tools like Cursor or modern AI-assisted workflows is a plus

  • Availability to work US time-based hours (or significant overlap)

This Role Is Not for You If

  • You avoid investigating complex bugs or edge cases

  • You prefer low ownership and minimal responsibility

What Success Looks Like

Within 3–6 months, you will:

  • Own quality assurance for key parts of the platform

  • Build reliable automated test coverage for critical flows

  • Catch and prevent issues before they reach production

  • Improve testing processes and release confidence

  • Be trusted to enforce quality standards across teams
