Position Summary

The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is developing an innovative Master of Science in Physician Assistant (PA) Studies program designed to prepare future clinicians for excellence in patient-centered, evidence-based care. We are seeking adjunct faculty members with advanced expertise to help shape the curriculum during this formative stage. This is a unique opportunity to influence program design, collaborate with experienced educators, and contribute to the training of the next generation of healthcare providers.

Compensation: $1,500/course credit hour

This is a part-time, remote position. All remote work must be performed in a state in which the College is registered to do business which includes New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Florida, Maryland, Wisconsin, and California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program leadership to design and develop courses for the emerging PA curriculum.
  • Create learning objectives, assessments, instructional materials, and evidence-based content.
  • Ensure alignment with ARC-PA standards and program goals.
  • Participate in curriculum review meetings and provide subject-matter expertise as needed.
  • Contribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning.

Education and Experience

  • A doctoral degree in Medicine (MD/DO), Physician Assistant Studies (DMSc/PhD/EdD), or a closely related field.
  • Relevant clinical experience and/or academic experience in PA or medical education is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary PA practice and competency-based education is preferred.

Physical Demands
