THE ROLE

The Social Media Coordinator will report into our Social Media Manager in Melbourne and will support on account delivery for a key client in Australia and New Zealand. As part of this role, the candidate will take lead in social execution across the accounts, including copy, design, video publishing and reporting. The role will also require client management skills and account management capabilities. They will have a background in social media, with a passion for producing creative content and integrating innovative new technologies into our work. They will have experience in working with a creative team to develop assets for social media channels. This role will also have opportunity to engage with other aspects of client execution that supports the brand in community engagement and event activation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the key day to day lead for social execution across 1 account, supporting on other accounts as required.

  • Lead and develop new creative ideas for social content, including producing proposals for clients around new campaigns & creatives

  • Provide ongoing day to day communication with the client, including weekly calls and daily project updates.

  • Oversee the account deliverables internally and externally to meet client needs and expectations.

  • Ensure the overarching digital strategy for each account is incorporated into the daily execution.

  • Create insightful reports for clients by using learnings from our social media reporting tools.

  • Proactively support the Social Media Manager in Melbourne across other tasks and account work.

  • Work as directed by the Senior Account Manager to support and manage aspects of client execution that support the brand in community engagement and event execution activities.

  • Work collaboratively with WME Group teams across APAC to identify opportunities for new business opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Social media expertise is a must, with creative experience a plus.

  • Experience managing social media communities.

  • A passion for content creation and ideation.

  • Experience using social media management and reporting tools.

  • Expertise in Photoshop, Lightroom and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • A curious and entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Experience in client management and proven success in retaining clients.

  • A passion and wealth of knowledge of the sports landscape, in particular American and European football.

  • Impeccable attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent all-round communications and the confidence to speak with a range of people.

  • Team player.

  • Punctual and professional in appearance and approach.

  • Strong computer efficiency – Mac literate (preferred) with excellent Keynote, PowerPoint, MS Office, Excel and Outlook skills.

  • An eye for and interest in the cultural landscape and brand integration into this space.

  • A passion for the latest social media sports content and trends.
