About the Role

Codematic is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to drive technical excellence across its product ecosystem. This is not just a coding role, Codematic is looking for someone with a leadership mindset who can architect complex systems and mentor the engineers around them. You will be central to designing, developing, and deploying scalable, user-centric solutions that define the Codematic experience.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, proactive problem-solving, and mutual respect.
  • Actively mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and pair programming, supporting their technical and professional growth.
  • Establish and uphold coding standards that ensure the team delivers maintainable, high-quality work.

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to translate business goals into actionable technical roadmaps.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, proposing new tools or methodologies where they add genuine business value.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in fullstack development with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-traffic projects.
  • Expert-level proficiency in React.js and Next.js (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Python, or NestJS.
  • Deep understanding of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, DynamoDB) database systems.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and enterprise software design patterns.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with containerisation tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in testing frameworks covering Unit, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
  • Experience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Success Criteria & KPIs

  • Consistent delivery of clean, maintainable, and secure code that meets or exceeds project requirements.
  • Successful deployment and stability of high-impact features with minimal post-release issues.
  • Tangible improvement in the technical capabilities of mentored team members.
  • Proactive identification and resolution of technical debt and architectural bottlenecks.

Why Join Codematic

You will have the opportunity to shape the direction of high-visibility projects in an environment that rewards both innovation and accountability. The work here is not just about building software. It is about building systems that matter. At Codematic, technical autonomy and human-centric engineering are core to how the team works.
