Your role and responsibilities

To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for a Sales Engineer (m/f/d) for our Business Line Building Automation, with a focus on KNX. You enjoy working with people, actively approach new customers, and are enthusiastic about innovative, sustainable solutions in building automation? Then we look forward to getting to know you.

The working model for this position is: Remote #LI-Remote.

In this role, you will be part of the German KNX Sales Team within the Business Line Building Automation and will play a key role in significantly expanding our KNX business in your region.

The sales focus is on the greater Nuremberg, Leipzig and Dresden area.

Your key responsibilities:

 

  • Responsibility for revenue and growth of our KNX business line

  • Central point of contact for KNX professionals such as installers, system integrators, and consulting engineers

  • Independent planning and implementation of sales activities based on the annually agreed operational strategy

  • Close coordination and alignment with our Product Marketing team

  • Acquisition of established KNX professionals in the market for ABB (new customer acquisition / cold calling)

  • Further development of existing ABB customers’ interest in our KNX products (customer development)

  • Preparation of specifications in collaboration with customers and internal interfaces

  • Organization and execution of local training sessions, workshops, and target-group-oriented events

  • Expert for KNX sales, acting as a point of contact for the regional sales team

  • Intensive internal communication and collaboration with Sales, Product Marketing, Product Management, and Development

You will become part of a motivated team in which you can grow.

Qualifications for the role

 

  • Completed technical degree or technical vocational training with further qualification, such as a technician (e.g. electrical engineering, building automation, automation technology)

  • Ideally, experience in technical sales

  • Experience in the KNX or building automation environment is an advantage

  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment in building sustainable, partnership-based customer relationships

  • Strong sales and closing orientation

  • Independent, structured, and strategic working style

  • Ability to work in a team and enjoyment of collaboration within a broadly positioned sales team

  • Willingness to travel within the region

  • Fluent German and good English skills
