Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Associate - Home Express w/Gas, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-level customer satisfaction through excellent service, greeting each customer upon contact and/or line of sight, assessing their needs, suggesting alternative options, and providing resolution.
  • Keeping customer needs foremost and creating a welcoming environment, actively engaging, and building trust relationships with customers to deliver a personalized shopping experience.
  • Providing product knowledge through superior sales skills to serve customers in one or more sales areas, utilizing and adhering to merchandise presentation standards, including arranging space on sales floors, setting up promotional fixtures, displaying promotional merchandise, signing, sizing, clearance, and cleanliness of the area assigned.
  • Assisting customers with completing price changes, special orders, online orders, and rain checks, and providing assistance with military uniform dress requirements, insignia, and new items.
  • Actively communicating/promoting the benefits of the Military Star credit card, Exchange protection plan, and other corporate programs to customers to drive sales growth and increase customer brand loyalty.
  • Operating a cash register or other sales-related equipment to enter new accounts, conduct sales, refunds, or similar transactions, verifying and accepting multiple tenders for payment, and making change with accuracy and zero variance tolerance.
  • Assuring compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations, as well as ensuring the security of fixed assets, cash, and inventory, practicing loss prevention procedures, and alerting security and management of potential problems that may involve fraud, waste, and abuse.

Essential Qualifications

* Completion of high school or the equivalent.

  • Retail experience, demonstrated willingness, and potential for additional responsibility.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and meeting sales targets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a cash register.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.

  • Knowledge of military uniform dress requirements, insignia, and new items.
  • Familiarity with the Military Star credit card, Exchange protection plan, and other corporate programs.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate a cash register and other sales-related equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
