As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in supporting our patients and partner dermatologists, ensuring that every interaction is positive, informative, and empowering.

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Healthcare Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional patient support and engagement. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for handling inbound calls, providing accurate and timely information, and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and support. Key Responsibilities

* Answer 40-50 inbound calls per day, providing accurate and timely information to patients and partner dermatologists

  • Take payments and update demographics as needed
  • Provide claim status and explain copays/deductibles to patients
  • Interpret and explain EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) to patients
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve patient concerns and issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure seamless communication and support

Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the healthcare industry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Polite phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret and explain EOBs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Self-managed and able to work independently
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Healthcare experience and knowledge of dermatology practices a plus

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and practice management systems

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
