A Day in the Life

As a Data Entry Specialist on our Amazon Online Opinion Sharing and Data Management team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with partners across various verticals, including Membership, Deals, Return Policy Operations, Finance, and more. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Gathering and discussing requirements from business partners to ensure that data ingestions address their needs and meet business objectives
• Building new data ingestions using a combination of local AWS services and Amazon devices
• Maintaining and improving existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving guidelines and corporate requirements
• Developing and maintaining systems or tools for internal and external partner use to manage data
• Performing code reviews and ensuring best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams

The Team

Our Ring Information Warehouse team is responsible for managing the unified data repository for Ring. We acquire and distribute data from various internal and external sources, which are used by different partners, such as Ring Item design, Finance, Production network, Advertising, Customer care, and Deals data. We're excited to welcome a new team member to help us drive innovation and growth.

Essential Capabilities

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering
• Experience with data visualization, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Capabilities

While not required, we're looking for candidates with experience in:

• AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Fire Hose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Modern programming languages like Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
